To determine the mechanical properties – strength limits and plasticity – of metals WESTERN CENTRAL LABORATORY conducts the following destructive tests (mechanical tests):
- Tensile.
- Bend.
- Flattening.
- Stretching.
The company also conducts static tensile tests to determine the mechanical properties of the material, such as strength, stiffness, plasticity, yield strength, strength limit, relative elongation, and the relative shrinkage of the cross-sectional area. The tests are conducted to verify that the material of the future product will be able to meet the requirements applicable to it, as well as to verify the compliance of the material with the declared properties and documentation.
WESTERN CENTRAL LABORATORY also performs the reclassification of metals according to the requirements of LST EN ISO and classification societies.
