The control of welding processes is a service provided by WESTERN CENTRAL LABORATORY, which includes the product welding work coordination, welding work supervision, welding work documentation management and other related procedures.
We have extensive experience in the field and cooperate with such classification societies as Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s Register, DNV-GL. The control of welding processes is coordinated by internationally recognized welding engineers (IWE) and welding inspectors (IWI) who are certified according to ISO 14731 requirements. Thus, optimal solutions are made that meet the needs of each individual client.
Control of welding processes is a range of different actions that can be undertaken by WESTERN CENTRAL LABORATORY:
- Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) for complex welding work – their development and approval in accordance with LST EN ISO 15609, LST EN ISO 15614-1, LST EN ISO 15614-2, LST EN ISO 15614-6 and other requirements.
- Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) for standard welding work – their implementation in companies that manufacture structures of EXC1 and EXC2 execution classes based on EN 1090-2, in accordance with LST EN ISO 15612 requirements.
- Inspection of a product material (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) and preparation of inspection documentation where the manufacturer needs Type 3.2 certificates in accordance with LST EN 10204 requirements.
- Product inspection before welding, supervision and control, during and after welding.
